The popular Range Rover Evoque has just be unveiled at the 2011 Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne. The Range Rover Evoque was first unveiled to the world at the 2010 Los Angles Auto Show, but to see it here in the flesh, it’s quite something.
Like most cars, it looks a lot better in the metal. It has a certain James Bond/stainless steel element to it. It’s suave, modern and quite practical. It also comes in two and four-door forms, so it suits a somewhat broader spectrum of the market.
There’s a range of petrol and diesel engines, including a 2.0-litre EcoBoost Si4 engine producing 177kW, or a TD4 2.2-litre turbo diesel producing 110kW or 140kW, depending on the trim level. With prices starting out as little as $53,395, the Evoque is sure to sell like hotcakes when it hits the market later this year.
The Evoque will be available in three different trim levels; the Pure, Dynamic and Prestige. Each of them present a slightly different personality and come with varying levels of equipment. Standard features include, at minimum, a five-inch TFT Driver Information Centre colour display, Bluetooth, climate control, as well as parking sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels.
